Be aware, please, that CASCAIDr is not providing the advocacy services listed on the Directory page – all we are doing is advertising the existence of this new form of help, for people struggling with the law and their rights, in connection with the health and care system. The advocacy is provided by people who’ve chosen to take a listing on that page.
You can search our directory of people offering to provide advocacy services online, or at face-to-face meetings, to members of the public, for a fee.
It’s not Care Act Advocacy, or Mental Capacity Act or Mental Health Act advocacy, all of which is free and commissioned by councils, please note, for specific purposes and based on statutory triggers.
What is being offered by people listed on our Directory is advocacy about a wider range of issues than statutory advocacy covers, and that’s why it costs money. PLEASE NOTE – whilst all advocates have to know about your legal rights and the funding body’s obligations to do a good job, these listed advocates are not offering formal or regulated legal advice. They are explaining what the legal framework IS, and helping people to find out more about it.
But it’s better to have help BEFORE things go wrong, we often find, rather than afterwards.
