European Convention on Human Rights – article 8 – article 12
A serving prisoner has no right of access to facilities for the artificial insemination of his partner. The right to found a family did not extend to the right to do so by artificial insemination when justifiably excluded from the enjoyment of family life and conjugal rights and accordingly there was no breach of articles 8 and 12 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
