Is there a definition of ‘elderly’ or ‘aged’ or ‘old’ in legislation?

Pre-Care Act 2014, social care law required the provision of particular services for particular groups. There are now no special rights for the elderly on account of age in social care law.

Care Act eligibility depends on needs which “arise from or are related to a physical or mental impairment or illness”. There is no age based requirement or definition.
