I have had a six-month battle with the ICB. I finally initiated an informal complaint on Monday. By Monday afternoon I was offered a phone call. On Wednesday morning I had a very long phone call from an ICB head of service. I was able to explain the issue with their policy and failure to follow a C&S Plan. At 8.20PM last night I received an email to confirm the problem was resolved and my son’s service reinstated, and transport provided. ICBs are impossible bureaucracies. I should have complained much sooner. The knowledge I have gained from Public Legal Framework Course helped me to finally resolve the matter. This all made walking in London on Tuesday even more important – I plan to walk again next year but hope it will be a bit cooler!
